Assistant Director, Finance and Special Planning

Job Description

The Assistant Director of Finance and Special Planning reports to the Director of Rooms Division and is charged with developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for budget planning and performing a variety of complex data analysis. The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership, daily management, planning, coordination and supervision of the complex business and financial activities in Rooms Division, and assisting with the hospitality units Luksin Conference Center and UCLA Guest House when needed. This position represents in excess of 75 million in expenses and 123 million in revenue, makes fiscal recommendations and monitors financial performance, both revenue and expenses. Will work closely with Asst. Directors, Resident Hall Managers, OCH Maintenance directors and managers and other HHS department managers and directors to provide the budget development, financial analysis and management resources necessary to support each hall’s individual goals and objectives. Provides leadership and assists with establishing priorities for fiscal and business related activities for Rooms Division. Has primary responsibility for providing management, coordination and oversight of the daily financial operations of Rooms Division and operations of the Rooms Administration department and Housing Mail Center, including financial, human resources and other operational matters. The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $8042 monthly.
