Assistant Executive Housekeeper (Luskin Conference Center)

Job Description

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper supervises and coordinates the daily supervision of approximately 42 full-time housekeeping employees for the LCC, a 24-hour property. The scope of supervision includes the monitoring of activities of room attendants, house attendants, public area attendants and floor supervisors. Incumbent assists in the managing and directing of the day to day operations of all Housekeeping and laundry functions. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper also provides support to the Executive Housekeeper in all areas of Housekeeping operations, such as staff training, coaching, counseling and also enforces the hotel’s standard operating procedures. The incumbent participates in and enforces quality assurance for the Housekeeping Department and department cost control measures. Assist in the preparation and management of the departmental labor budget. Responsible for the monthly management and inventory of all housekeeping supplies and expenditures. Provide on-the-job training to staff, including proper use of chemicals and equipment, and ensure compliance with published safety standards.

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper must have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively interact with guests, University personnel and various levels of management. Must be able to work a varied schedule based on business needs which may include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours.
