Associate Director, Information Technology

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology/Systems, manages information technologies and systems for UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services (HHS) with annual operating and capital expenditures in excess of $5M. HHS consists of 11 different business units with a combined annual operating budget in excess of $230M with over 1700 career and casual employees. Business units include the Student Technology Center (STC), Dining Services, on and off campus housing (University Apartments) operations, the UCLA Conference Center at Lake Arrowhead, the UCLA Guest House, Conference and Catering Services, Vending Services, Facilities Maintenance, Marketing Services, Housing Services, and the Community Housing Office. Responsibilities include, but not necessarily limited to the day-to-day operations for telecommunications, systems administration and management, line of business applications, customer self-service, electronic commerce, and general office productivity systems. Responsible for managing, administering, and maintaining the network computing and audio visual systems which include over 11,000 end-users, 5,000 cable TV drops, 600+ networked devices (computers, servers, imaging devices, etc.) and 3 data centers. Directs and manages the information technology systems staff comprised of over 20 student staff, 4 systems/programmer analysts, administrative analysts and specialists with indirect management relationships to 10 additional database managers/administrators, analysts, and programmers.
