Campus Video Systems Coordinator
Job Description
Under the direction of the Housing & Hospitality Services – Housing Operations & Safety Security Systems Manager, the Campus Video Systems Coordinator (“VSC”) is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to facilitate the planning, installation and implementation of a campus wide digital video surveillance management program to enhance the campus and community safety.
Major duties include the planning, coordination, and strategic development of new camera installations, conversion of disparate legacy video systems (both analog and digital) to function with planned video surveillance system platform, maintain operational integrity of video surveillance system, provide functional/operator level training, and act as a liaison with Housing IT Department, Facilities Management, Managed Network Services, Information Technology Services, UCPD, and other external resources and departments to help implement and manage planned VMS platform.
Job Qualifications
Working knowledge of network communication protocols as it relates to IP surveillance equipment.
Required
Demonstrated working knowledge of digital and analog based surveillance systems; knowledge of unification of disparate video platforms.

Demonstrated working knowledge of converting legacy analog cameras to digital IP video output
Required
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
Required
Working experience with low voltage electrical projects
Required
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, coworkers, and other University personnel and interact diplomatically within a diverse environment.

Experience in accounting including purchasing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Ability to drive university vehicle to attend site visits/job walks at any UCLA owned property as necessary. Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License
