Collection Analyst
Job Description
Under the general direction of the Collection Manager, assist with the analysis and reporting for collection activity and housing services reports. Major duties include aging reconciliation, billing, audit, and refunds. Ensure the collection process is completed timely from move-in through collection including Unlawful Detainer and Eviction, and move out with accounts in arrears. Prepare and generate reports, analytical support, track data, statistical data, office supply/form ordering, inventory maintenance, and correspondence. Reconcile aging, collection reports, and potential bad debt on a monthly basis. Provide Housing Services ad hoc reports for customer service and collections. Assist with supervision and distribution of work in the absence of the Collection Manager. Provide training to Housing Services staff on collection, payment agreements, accounting principles, and use of accounting software programs. Provide assistance to the other Housing Services areas to complete routine tasks on a daily basis as necessary.
The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $34.29 hourly.
Job Qualifications
Working knowledge of general accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation experience.
