Conference & Catering Event Coordinator

Job Description

In conjunction with other team members, the Conference & Catering Event Coordinator will handle Off-Premise Catering delivery orders (approximately 3,000 annually) & year-round events and conferences (approximately $30M total Revenue annually). Incumbent will create event bookings in the Delphi reservation system, administer meeting agreements, and generate Event Orders, Banquet Checks & Group Resumes. Incumbent will work in a sales and service capacity, for deliveries and events within the 60,000 Square feet of meeting space directly managed by the department in addition to handling event orders for food deliveries to other campus venues outside of the department’s meeting facilities.

The Conference & Catering Event Coordinator will provide top-notch customer service both over the phone and in person. The incumbent will handle client inquiries, distribute daily production reports, engage in client correspondence, help in training and supervision of student assistants, assist with operational reports and manage special projects as assigned. Work requires independent judgment, ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, strong organizational skills and problem-solving.
