Director of Catering Operations
The Director of Catering Operations is responsible for overall management of all catering and banquet-related activities for the hospitality units operated by Housing & Hospitality Services. The incumbent provides team leadership and management for the operating areas of UCLA Catering which services approximately 1500 served events and 6,000 food deliveries annually and catered/banquet events within the UCLA Luskin Conference Center including Meeting Room and Event sets. Prepare, monitor, and control an annual expense budget of approximately $ $7.5 Million. Incumbent is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic goals and initiatives including operational plans and procedural manuals. Marshal and deploy resources such as personnel, equipment and inventory such as china, linen, and trucks in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Supervise, train, motivate and evaluate both career and part-time positions, including coordinating recruitment efforts to maintain adequate staffing levels to handle the fluctuating business volume for the department.
