Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Budgets, the Financial Systems Consultant manages the operation of the Housing and Hospitality Services budgeting systems. The individual is to evaluate, streamline and manage the reporting of data to financial analysts and management throughout the Housing and Hospitality Services in managing and developing new processes for creating budgets and analyzing data from various campus systems. Respond to questions about campus-wide changes and systems and assist in developing analytical tools as needed. Work with the Director of Finance and Budgets to understand and anticipate needs of client departments and to assist in budget systems and reporting training. Responsible for the administration of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, including Oracle Enterprise Planning, Smartview, Essbase, and Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio for the organization. Develop, implement and maintain Essbase and Planning applications to support the mission and vision of Housing and Hospitality Services. Exposure to three complete implementations of Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase. Work with Financial Management Services and internal business units within Housing and Hospitality Services to coordinate budget loads into and production of variance reports. Collaborates with Financial Management Services and Academic Planning and Budget on new campus-wide projects to provide perspective on how Housing and Hospitality Services could utilize these systems and provide feedback and technical expertise.
