Job Description
Under the direction of the H&HS Marketing & Communications Associate Director, develop a wide array of marketing, promotional, informational, and communications materials for the departments within UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services. These departments include Housing Administration, Conference Services, Catering, Dining Services, University Apartments, Rooms Operations, Housing Services, Vending Services, Human Resources & Payroll, the UCLA Guest House, Lake Arrowhead Conference Center and Bruin Woods Family Resort, and the UCLA Luskin Conference Center. Materials include but are not limited to brochures, flyers, postcards, logos, display advertisements, posters, banners, signs, surveys, and web pages. A high level of skill and proficiency is required in project management and coordination, graphic design, copy writing, and the creative process — including brainstorming, concept development, and campaign development. Meet with internal clients on assigned projects to determine needs, project direction, and how to best meet desired goals. Participate in the strategic planning process with clients, including research, campaign development, and the tracking and follow-up of overall strategy and campaign effectiveness. Work simultaneously on a variety of projects for a diverse mix of internal clients with different audiences in a very busy, deadline-driven environment. Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and clients in an independent manner that facilitates the timely and successful completion of projects.
