Job Description

Perform upkeep and maintenance of grounds including mowing, planting, pruning, snow removal, creek maintenance, sprinkler system installation and upkeep, repair and maintenance of outdoor furniture, trash removal, upkeep and cleaning of all outdoor areas including tennis courts, pool, volleyball, ball field, frontier village, Zen deck, firewood supply, and program readiness in outdoor venues (including propane restocking, furniture movement, etc.). Management of grounds equipment as needed.

Job Qualifications

1. Ability to perform heavy manual tasks.

2. Knowledge and ability to operate push mower, riding mower front loader, rototiller, chain saw, hedger, edger, weed eater, aerator, log splitter and other grounds and pool equipment.

3. Knowledge and ability to operate snow plow and snow blower.
Required

4. Knowledge of horticulture including grasses, trees, flowers, and shrubs.

5. Knowledge of safety requirements and use of fertilizers and pesticides.
Required

6. Knowledge and ability to install, repair and maintain sprinkler systems.
Required

7. Knowledge and ability to maintain swimming pool and Jacuzzis.

8. Ability to perform effectively under different weather conditions and fluctuating workload.

10. Ability to show up to work on time.

11. Ability to interact courteously and professionally with diverse groups of guests and co-workers.
