HR & Payroll Administrative Specialist

Job Description

Under general supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, primary responsibilities are to provide a wide range of payroll services to the departments under the HR and Payroll Center, Administration – North (HRPCN) office. Work in conjunction with departmental payroll representatives to resolve payroll discrepancies. Deliver exemplary customer service while addressing all inquiries made to the HRPCN. Responsible for processing biweekly and monthly payroll transactions, retroactive salary adjustments, payroll expense transfers, etc. as directed.

Incumbent also performs various personnel transactions in conjunction with policy and procedures, union contracts, and directive from Campus Human Resources. Maintain accurate and current personnel information of all on-line personnel transactions using the Campus Employee Database System (EDB.) Independently set priorities and complete functions, using deadline schedules, manuals, and office procedures as guidelines.

This position also provides support to managers and supervisors with preparing edits in the Kronos database. Perform fingerprinting of applicants to comply with background check requirements. Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager with recruitment and screening process.
