HR & Payroll Analyst

Job Description

The HR & Payroll Analyst provides comprehensive, analytic and administrative support for a wide range of projects and programs in support of the HR & Payroll Center Administration – North (HRPCN,) as well as the Chancellor’s Organization. Responsibilities include assisting in the biweekly and monthly payroll process for the departments serviced by the Center (over 3000 employees); processing personnel actions in the Campus’ employee database system following established University policies and/or multiple Union Agreements. Independently set priorities and complete functions, using deadline schedules, manuals, and office procedures as guidelines. Work in conjunction with departmental payroll representatives to resolve payroll discrepancies. Responsible for reviewing payroll records in two separate and distinct time and attendance systems (TRS and Kronos). Work closely with the Budget and Payroll Manager to resolve payroll discrepancies between timekeeping systems, retroactive salary adjustments and payroll expense transfers.

This position will also conduct periodic analysis of internal audits of payroll data to ensure compliance with University policy and Wage and Hour laws. Provide ongoing general assistance the HR & Payroll Center Director as needed.
