Night Manager (Luskin Conference Center)

Job Description

The Night Manager for the Luskin Conference Center assumes operational responsibility of all reservations, revenue maximization, housekeeping, and maintenance operations focusing on Front Desk operations, night audit and conference center safety and security. This also includes guest customer services functions, personnel actions, and accounting functions during the overnight shift and ensures communication and follow-up with day shift on any issues, guest requests or special requirements.

Manage overnight operations and oversight of the Front Desk staff to maximize revenues and profits while attaining optimal guest satisfaction. Respond to guests’ special requests, needs, problems, issues and concerns. Accommodate groups to ensure optimal levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business.

The Night Manager plans for the next day’s activities; coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements; blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. This position will utilize Opera as the property management system to check guests in and out, run daily reports, run night audit reports, and select and block rooms for arriving guests. Supervise Night Auditors; interviewing, scheduling, training, developing, coaching, and counseling, performance feedback and career development plans. Provide open communication and advising on discipline related issues, as appropriate.
