Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and development of buildings, equipment, utilities, and grounds of the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center located 100 miles east of the UCLA campus in the San Bernardino Mountains. The UCLA Conference Center consists of 50 acres, 34 buildings, parking areas and paths, boats and docks, a large swimming pool, a small fleet of vehicles, a ball field, amphitheater, and oak/pine forest, and extensive landscaped areas. In concordance with the Assistant Director, supervises and motivates a staff of approximately 6 FTE in the prioritization and completion of maintenance and grounds, focused on both the immediate needs of the guests and the long term needs supporting the future viability of the property. This will include the daily management of work orders and preventative maintenance programs, the preparation and management of major maintenance projects, the development and management of a $700k dollar operating budget, and the effective management of the physical resources of the property. The conference center also has a recreation center, conference rooms, commercial kitchen, dining facilities. Responsible for Food Service Support, HVAC, Physical Plant, Access Control, preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Also responsible for administration of contracts and projects as assigned and to be communicated with conference team to schedule projects and ongoing maintenance needs. All work is performed in a cost effective manner with special consideration for building occupants and regularly changing priorities. Additionally, the manager must demonstrate planning abilities sufficient to prepare both short and long term maintenance plans. This is a working position whose incumbent must have full knowledge of and ability to perform all aspects of the maintenance needed. In winter periods, the additional component of snow removal is necessary.

The targeted salary for this position is between the posted minimum to $6250 monthly.

Job Qualifications

Working knowledge of and skill in plumbing, electrical, heating and ventilation, carpentry, mechanical repairs and vehicle and boat repairs. Pluming procedures include pipe line and device repair and replacement.
