Job Description

Under the direction of the Assistant Director Dining Services – Executive Chef, the incumbent provides administrative and clerical support to the UCLA Dining Services Department, Executive Chefs and the Recipe Development Office. Primary responsibilities include: generating computerized reports in Word and spreadsheet programs; maintaining both electronic and hard copy file systems, responding to manager inquiries; answering phones; and any routine tasks associated with the department. The position is also responsible for coordinating the Executive Chefs calendar; the scheduling of Executive Chefs meetings; coordinating travel itineraries for the Executive Chefs; taking notes at meetings and conference calls; researching, drafting and preparing memos and correspondences; photocopying; and maintaining the physical condition of the office, placing work orders, and assisting other UCLA Dining Services team members as needed.
