Revenue Director

Job Description

Under the direction of the UCLA Hospitality Group Management Team, the Revenue Director will perform comprehensive analyses of all hospitality properties and conference revenue and contribute to the design and implementation of strategies to increase the volume and profitability of reservation and conference business. Incumbent will perform financial analyses utilizing property management systems, Online Financial System Reports and other data tools, to accurately forecast revenue and report on progress made toward established goals, identify and define revenue shortfalls and recommend strategies for their offset. The Revenue Director will manage the yield of bed space inventory and assist conference staff with recruitment of group sales and coordination of a small number of groups/programs once on-site.

Job Qualifications

Minimum two years’ experience as Revenue Manager in a similar sized and class hotel.
Preferred

Ability to close sales and negotiate large dollar volume financial contracts.
Preferred

Demonstrated skill in financial analysis and planning including break-even/profit analyses in hospitality and/or sales & catering.
Required

Demonstrated skill in managing fiscal, human, and capital resources.
Required

Knowledge of hospitality group and/or catering sales, or related field.
Required

Previous experience managing a property management system interface.
Required

Understanding of basic supervising principles including the development of employee standards and protocol and delegating responsibility and training.

Demonstrated skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and maintaining cooperative working relationships.

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Opera, SalesForce, and TravelClick including Word, Excel, Outlook and report writing software (such as Crystal Reports).

Skill in writing concise, logical and grammatically correct, analytical reports, project proposals, contracts and memos for submission to executive management.

Skill in conducting market place analysis.

Strong analytical skills to define problems, formulate logical solutions and make recommendations.
