Job Description

Under Supervision of the Building Operations Manager perform the full range of journey-level duties to fabricate, assemble, install, weld, and repair sheet-metal products and equipment such as control boxes and drain pipes using tools and equipment of the trade. Select gauge and type of metal according to product being fabricated. Weld using oxy-acetylene cutting with smooth seams, joints, and burred surfaces. Respond to trouble calls and emergency repairs or replacements. Work from blueprints and drawings. Provide direction to semi-skilled or unskilled workers. Maintain accurate hours on each job; operate and maintain a variety of power and/or hand tools. Follow established safety procedures at all times.
