Job Description

Under the direction of the Area Facilities Manager the Principal Custodian Supervisor oversees housekeeping functions for multi-unit residence apartment facilities, which houses over 4,800 residents, and non-residential/common areas up to 1.8 million sq. feet. Responsible for daily supervision of between 15-20 full-time career Senior Custodians and up to 30 seasonal casual contractor staff. Ensure housekeeping/maintenance standards are meet and exceed customer expectations consistently. Assist in the preparation and management of a departmental labor budget of approximately $950,000 and expenditures of $550,000. Responsibilities include the monthly management and inventory of all supplies/expenditures. Provide on-the-job training and supervision to staff, including proper use of chemicals and equipment, and ensure compliance with published safety standards.
