Vending Route Driver
Job Description
Under the direction of the Vending Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for delivering goods throughout campus in order to replenish and service the various vending machines managed by Vending Services. This position is also responsible for obtaining merchandise from warehouse in order to stock delivery truck prior to attending to required delivery routes; keeps inventory records of all goods retrieved or delivered, ensures rotation of goods in vending machines to ensure freshness, as well as clean and sanitize equipment when necessary.
This position is also responsible for collecting and securing money retrieved from vending machines in order to ensure timely delivery to Vending cashier room; perform minor repairs and cleaning to vending machines and delivery truck.

Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.

Ability to read, understand and speak English sufficient to determine and carry out job duties.

Ability to stand, climb stoop, push stretch and crouch for extended periods of time as required to complete job duties.

Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds such as bags of money and cases of food products.

Availability to work various shifts and occasional overtime.

Incumbent must possess a valid California Drivers license. Position is subject to the California DMV’s “Pull Notice System” and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
