Job Description

The Marketing & Communications Department within UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services (H&HS) provides comprehensive in-house creative support for all of the H&HS units in a very high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Department services include web, print and digital design targeted to diverse audiences including students, parents, staff, faculty, alumni, and visitors to the University. Internal clients include (but are not limited to) the following H&HS departments: Administration, HR & Payroll North, UCLA Dining Services, UCLA Housing Services and Room Operations, University Apartments, UCLA Conferences & Catering, UCLA Guest House, UCLA Luskin Conference Center, and the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center & Bruin Woods Family Resort.

Under the direction and assistance from the Sr. Project & Production Manager, the Web Administrator & Developer will update, maintain and improve websites and digital marketing content for departments within UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services. With assistance from the Web Developer/Designer, the Web Administrator & Developer will use programming languages, content management systems, and design software to create graphics and update current H&HS websites to new technology, platforms, and software. Additionally, as technology protocols are updated on campus, the Web Administrator & Developer will work in conjunction with the Web Developer/Designer and the H&HS IT department to ensure that all websites developed, updated, and managed are compliant with UCOP approved practices and guidelines.

Under the direction of the senior department leadership, the Web Administrator & Developer will also assist with graphic design work in web, digital, and print mediums, updating and creating effective and distinctive materials appropriate to a variety of audiences. This aspect of the job requires a high level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud. The incumbent works collaboratively with the Associate Director, Sr. Project & Production Manager, Web Developer/Designer, colleagues, vendors, and clients, providing continuous high-quality work and a high level of customer satisfaction. The target hourly rate for this position is between the posted minimum to $31.13, depending on experience.
